WEB Analyst firm IDC predicts installed data center IT power capacity in the APAC region to reach 944GW by 2028. The prediction is based on the findings of IDC's recent report, "AsiaPacific Excluding Japan Datacenter Deployment Model and Forecast." The report forecasts that the APAC region, excluding Japan, will experience a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.4% in data center IT power capacity over the next five years.

The growth is being driven by a number of factors, including the increasing adoption of cloud computing, the growth of the Internet of Things (IoT), and the increasing use of data analytics.
