Inter Miami Cf Will Be Without Lionel Messi Once Again On Saturday When They Travel To Face The Chicago Fire

Messi to remain sidelined for Inter Miami, won’t play Saturday at Chicago

Inter Miami CF will be without Lionel Messi once again on Saturday when they travel to face the Chicago Fire.

The Argentine superstar has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury in Inter Miami's 2-0 win over the Philadelphia Union on March 4.

Messi has been training with the team this week, but manager Phil Neville said the forward is not yet ready to return to action.

“Leo is progressing well, but he is not ready to play 90 minutes yet,” Neville said.

“We are going to have to be careful with him and make sure that he is 100% fit before we put him back in the team.”

Messi's absence is a blow to Inter Miami, who are looking to build on their impressive start to the season.

The Herons are currently second in the Eastern Conference with a record of 3-1-1.

However, they will be confident of getting a result against the Fire, who are bottom of the Eastern Conference with a record of 0-4-0.

Inter Miami will be hoping to have Messi back in the team for their next match, which is at home to the Vancouver Whitecaps on March 25.
